Podcasts from the Continuity Forum
Over the past few years the growth and value of Podcasting has grown hugely. The technical capability and ease of use of MP3 and the convenience laptops, portable music and phone devices means that new avenues have opened to communicate with people around the world. You are probably surrounded by these devices around you as you read this!
The Continuity Forum is starting to utilise this capability to further support our work promoting Business Continuity and Podcasts offer us an exciting new tool to communicate on a range of issues and in a number of diverse ways.
Initially, we are planning a phased introduction for our podcasts and we'll be assessing the feedback from the Business Continuity community. Currently our priorities are as follows:
Firstly, a series of shorter podcasts “Continuity Bites” covering a range of aspects relevant to the Business sector. These will be between 10 and 15 minutes long with 'bite size' advice, guidance and opinion on key Business Continuity, Security and Resilience topics and ideal to listen to on the way to work or on the train. These will be a regular feature and build to provide a resource that is suitable for novices and experts alike. We expect new episodes to every four to six weeks once we are up to speed and we'll be using these BCM podcasts to provoke discussion and feed into our other Podcasts and content on the Continuity Forum Website.
If you have some thing to say or experiences that others can benefit from then just get in touch and we'll arrange everything.
Our next work stream will provide a longer “Forum Insights” series, these will feature interviews and discussion and provide additional news and opinion across the spectrum of interests a modern planner must consider. This is more of a magazine programme and will connect with topics identified in the Bite Size and bring in interviews and commentary from others through interviews, we are even looking at a soapbox feature!

We will also provide hosting for Podcast or other media materials from partners and organisations needing to reach our community. These can be produced by the Continuity Forum or independently developed, we really don't mind, but they have to be focused on knowledge transfer and not just be sales pitches!
Finally and ideal for larger organisations or Public Authorities we'll produce bespoke Podcasts for your use.
