The Continuity Forum is committed to building the resilience of organisations internationally, regardless of size or sector, through education and the promotion of best practice in Business Continuity Management and its related disciplines. The Forum is committed to aiding the growth and the development of the Continuity sector and appropriate standards.

By building bridges between organisations of all types and sharing both knowledge and expertise in a constructive & cost effective way we are leading the drive to create Continuity and build Resilience.

The Aims of Continuity Forum are to:

· Support the development of BCM and the growth of the Continuity Sector.

· Provide Continuity Professionals with the relevant tools and materials to support their work and the needs of their organisations.

· Lobby government, regulators and industry to recognise the vital importance and contribution of Business Continuity Management and its related disciplines to organisations and the need to establish a culture of embedded Continuity.

· Support the development of a more professional approach to BCM and its related disciplines.

In support of our Aims we will:

· Address issues that affect the sector providing general information of value to the industry and specific guidance and advice where appropriate.

· Establish mechanisms that encourage shared learning and knowledge development by creating a world-class knowledge base accessible to all industry professionals across all segments of the Continuity Profession.

· Encourage the development of BCM through co-operation and collaboration with all organisations relevant to the development of the sector.

· Support commercial organisations in the development of products and services that really meet the needs of organisations of all types and sizes.

· Encourage the development and implementation of standards for BCM and professional practice.

· Engage government, regulators and trade bodies to promote BCM and encourage adherence to recognised standards for BCM and professional practice.

· Provide accurate, independent up to date information and research to the sector as a whole and to individual organisations as appropriate.

· Support all aspects of the industry and members of Continuity Forum proactively and professionally.
