OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

The Senior Consultant has primary responsibility for direct supervision of Consultants in executing Business Continuity Management project work plans. The Senior Consultant has direct, client-facing engagement responsibilities. Serving as both role model and trainer, the Senior Consultant demonstrates the attributes of excellent client service and assists team members in developing technical and professional competency. The Senior Consultant learns to identify areas of IT risk and opportunities to improve IT business processes.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Communicate Business Continuity strengths and weaknesses to the client or engagement team and develop effective solutions
• Ensure timely completion of assigned project phases
• Develop and maintain effective client relationships
• Apply understanding of company policies and proficiency in company methodologies
• Apply understanding of business processes and technical skills to successfully complete project assignments
• Develop understanding of project requirements and client’s business
• Supervise and train project personnel
• Prepare reports on findings and make recommendations to senior management
ABILITY TO TRAVEL

• The position requires an average of 50% to 70% out-of-town travel to client work sites

EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting, Computer Information Systems) required
• Required minimum GPA 3.0
• 3+ years in a related field required, preferably in professional services and/or industry—at least two years working with BCM tools
• Professional Certification such as CBCP, ABCP,MBCP, CISA

Title: Business Continuity Consultant (Permanent Staff).
Reports to: Head of Professional Services

Role: The Consultant will be a primary source of specialist knowledge on the business continuity products and services Office-Shadow delivers to its clients. The Consultant will support the business from the client engagement process to the delivery of commissioning, training, deployment and support services.

The Consultant will manage and lead individual and group workshops, focused on software delivery, integration and the business continuity management requirements of clients. He / she will support, deliver and inform clients of developments in the solutions and be knowledgeable in current features designed to assist in helping the client succeed. Position Description:

The position will need heavy interaction with IT Disaster Recovery (DR) Managers in the various application and infrastructure groups, as well as with Business Continuity Management (BCM) team counterparts in the Europe and Asia Pacific regions. In some instances, DR Managers may not exist in certain IT areas. This position will be responsible for coordinating BCM tests, ensuring recovery site readiness and performing test and site assessment reports

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key contact for business continuity management readiness for their respective support area(s).
• Organize and manage regular BCM DR Tests simulating the loss of the various production sites and the use of the existing recovery sites based on one or more impact types.
• Facilitate and coordinate Industry/Street-wide DR test activities with exchanges, counterparties and vendors.
• Facilitate and coordinate Command and Control structure during BCM DR Tests and building powerdowns of the New York and Princeton campus.
• Conduct recovery site review and assessments to help ensure site readiness and currency.
• Coordinate with Corporate Services and IT teams to identify gaps and track status of actions/issues.

• Review application recovery guides and conduct walkthroughs to support BCM driven DR Test, as required.
• Review business process flows and test scripts and provide guidance, as required.
• Provide expertise knowledge and guidance on DR solutions.
• Work closely with BCM colleagues locally and in other regions to understand global and local regulatory and compliance requirements for BCP/DR.

Required Work Experience:

• Experienced individual with minimum 5 years involvement in the financial services industry preferably gained in a line support role within infrastructure or application support.

Desirable Work Experience:

• Project management experience is preferred.
• Product knowledge of fixed income, equities, treasuries, leveraged finance, etc. is a plus.
• Business Continuity experience a plus

A leading global brand name in the Health and Care industry are seeking a IT Contingency/Disaster Recovery Project Coordinator to be based at their offices in Staines, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the development, maintenance, test and execution of the group continuity plans and act as the centre of excellence.

The coordinator will act as the main contact for all business units and prepare an annual test program/timetable for testing live applications in the event of a disaster, this will involve pulling together a team of technicians to carry out the work at a pre-defined location, you will liaise with various departments ensuring that they are prepared for such and event, have the necessary procedures, documentation and designated personnel in place, you will then simulate the event assessing and evaluating performance and ensuring problems are rectified prior to future tests.

Cold Start

An office where only the equipment is provided, the environments, systems, servers would all require setting up within agreed time frames on top of that this would be based on all new staff with experience of the skills required however with no knowledge of working for the company or industry.

The successful candidate will have strong administrative/organisational background with excellent communication, team working skills and attention to detail, be strong enough to delegate work and confront issues and excellent written ability to provide concise documentation/reporting.

On the technical side it would be ideal however not essential for the right person to have knowledge covering UNIX, Intel and system restoration.

The role is part of an EMEA regional Governance and Compliance team that is being built and will lead the newly defined Business Continuity Team. The team provides compliance and continuity services for IT, all Business functions and clients.

The BPO industry is challenging as the candidate will not only be responsible for defining the BCP policy, but also for working with and defining plans for outsourced business processes of multiple Fortune 500 organisations with whom we work.

The Business Continuity Manager is a new position;

Responsible to design and implement strategies to ensure that the company is prepared, resilient and able to respond to events that could impact or disrupt critical business operations for both our organisation and our clients with continuity requirements. You will also be tasked with identifying risks and implementing analysis and methodologies to be able to continue to do so.

The Business Continuity Team will provide methodologies, guidance/training, templates and support for the implementation of Business Continuity plans for Sites, Functional teams and Clients. The function is also responsible for the audit of deployed plans and ensuring regular scenario tests are conducted, reporting on the status of BCP management in the organization to Executive management.

Dealing with all aspects of Business Continuity, including: Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Impact Analysis (BIA), contingency planning and crisis management.

Responsible for the education and training of appropriate business and functional management in business continuity methodologies, implementation and ongoing maintenance.

Ensures integrity and accuracy of process and tools used to support crisis management efforts within region

Declaration & on-going management of an incident or event.

To take personal responsibility to understand and comply with all company and client security requirements and policies

You must adhere to agreed procedures and ensure that any continuity and operational activities are conducted in line with the organisation or client security policy requirements and ensure the effective management of 3rd party providers and their compliance with both our and Client security policies.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Preferably Degree educated in a relevant subject

This is a senior role; candidate will be expected to hit the ground running. Person must have the ability to translate customer (internal and external) business needs into continuity and recovery solutions. Develop trust and respect with customer stakeholders and ensure delivery of successful business outcomes.

Typically 5+ years experience in IT, 5+ years of Security & Business Continuity experience for both IT and business functions. Demonstrable experience of defining and delivering Business Continuity strategies and methodologies to with at least 3 years of working in a pan EMEA organisation delivering Business Continuity plans and business impact analysis, assisting with the definition of solutions and business cases.

Skills:

Excellent interpersonal skills, person will be dealing with Executive level and staff from all levels, flexibility to react to customer demand and an IT technical understanding. Microsoft Word and Excel (strong). The coaching nature of this role requires the individual obtain the majority of his/her results through the effort of others. This requires excellent personal and communication skills (written & oral).

Languages: English must be excellent, both written and Oral. Dutch, German, French, Spanish, etc. would be a useful second language

Knowledge/Abilities:

You must be experienced with BS25999/BS7799/ISO27001, have project management methodologies experience and you should also be a member of the Business Continuity Institute. Ability to formulate and recommend improvements to any aspect of their role. Self-driven, ability to work under pressure.

Special Certifications

BCI Business Continuity Certification or Security Certification e.g. CISSP, CISM or Similar preferred.

Travel Required

There will be a 50-80% pan EMEA travel involved in this role (44 sites throughout EMEA), this can be balanced against working from home or a local office when not travelling. Role can be based in any EMEA location situated near company offices or travel hubs.
