Somerset Local Authorities’ Civil Contingencies Unit and Avon and Somerset Constabulary will be hosting a local launch of the ‘Secure in the Knowledge’ business guide produced by the National Counter Terrorism Security Office and Continuity Forum.

The Guidance is aimed at all businesses to ensure they remain safe, secure and viable.
Remember without business continuity, a natural or man-made disaster could result in:

Loss of work to competitors
Failures within your supply chain
Loss of reputation
Human Resources issues
Health and Safety liabilities
Higher insurance premiums

The morning event is offered free of charge to delegates and will provide straight forward advice on security, business continuity and resilience planning matters. All those attending will see the ‘Secure in the Knowledge’ DVD and will receive the guidance booklet. In addition there will be a short overview of how the Somerset Local Authorities’ Civil Contingencies Unit can provide advice and guidance in the development of Business Continuity Plans as required by the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.

This event will follow a similar agenda, but will include recently updated information, making the event suitable for all, whether or not you attended previously.

This event removes the hype and focuses on the facts covering the current matrix of risks to business and highlighting why Companies have to ACT to build their resilience and Business Continuity Management plans.

It is expected that this prestigious event will attract a large audience, offering potential networking with businesses of all sizes in the local area. We urge early registration.

The event is offered free of charge to our delegates. It is aimed at offering businesses in the area unbiased and straightforward advice on Security, Business Continuity & Resilience Planning matters.
