Steelhenge and Kavanagh join BSI Associate Consultant programme for BS25999
Business Continuity Forum Standards events workshops news support and information
Steelhenge Consulting and Kavanagh IT have both been accepted onto the BSI Associate Consulting Programme (ACP). In order to gain acceptance to the listings companies must demonstrate experience and specialist knowledge BS25999, the British Standard for Business Continuity.
The BSI ACP Scheme comes from the need to provide information on professional consultancies to end users in a way that does not compromise the impartiality of the BSI.
The BSI ACP programme that now covers 12 different operational standards and encompasses around 100 consultancies. The BSI though are careful to clearly define the programme ...
"As a certification body, BSI Management Systems is unable to provide any form of consultancy service. However there are a large number of specialist consultancies able to carry out such work. Since we are often asked for recommendations but have to remain totally impartial, we have put together the Associate Consultant Programme to give some structure to this area. Clearly not all competent consultants have applied to join the ACP, nor do we in any way endorse the services of its members. Furthermore it should not be assumed that engagement with an ACP member will in any way lead to faster, cheaper or easier certification from BSI. However, all ACP members are known to us and have demonstrated their experience with respect to certified management systems."
