Course Objectives

Our two day management overview will provide all attendees with a practical understanding of Business Continuity Management (BCM). Our Business Continuity Overview provides a solid understanding of the overall Business Continuity implementation process preparing the Project Team to embark upon the Risk Identification and Assessment and the Business Impact Analysis stages of Business Continuity implementation. By continuing to link with the project team continuing support and further training can be provided through the whole process to audit stage.

Content is based on industry best practice and is aligned with the Business Continuity Institute’s (BCI) ten certification standards and PAS 56 Guide to BCM.

Course Overview

Managing Operational Risk is high on the Board Room agenda within all organisations and businesses seeking to improve security and increase operational resilience. Companies seeking to provide products and services to Central and Local Government and Publicly Listed Companies are now expected to have these Risk Management issues under control. What many business leaders fail to appreciate is that Operational Risk can be addressed, confronted and reduced by initiating a Business Continuity Management Process. Such a process connects with Crisis Management, Brand Reputation, Disaster Recovery, Information Security and Physical Security issues in a single coordinated approach.

At SRM we believe the understanding of the business already exists within the senior and middle management of organisations and that with the benefit of Business Continuity training a project team drawn from this management layer can provide a long term management process of resilience building which can be embedded within the organisation as a whole.
